1. Introduction
ColoursAlive ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit coloursalive.com, engage our photography or video services, or otherwise interact with us.
ColoursAlive operates from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This Policy is governed by the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules"), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA") of India.

4. Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with the service providers that help us run the site and our business — including Cloudflare (hosting, CDN and security), Web3Forms (delivering enquiry-form submissions to us), Ahrefs (privacy-first analytics), Google (analytics), and Microsoft (Clarity analytics) — as well as where required to comply with legal obligations, or in the event of a business transfer. Each third party processes data under its own privacy terms.
5. Cookies & tracking
How our analytics behave depends on where you are visiting from. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent banner appears on your first visit and neither Google Analytics nor Microsoft Clarity loads or sets any cookie until you accept. Everywhere else, both run by default and you can switch them off at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page; declining also deletes the cookies they have already set. We run no advertising or ad-targeting trackers at all, and Google's advertising signals are permanently disabled on this site. For a full breakdown of every cookie set, see our Cookie Policy.
Essential (always active)
- Your cookie preference is stored locally in your browser so you are not asked on every visit. This is kept on your device and is not used to track you.
- Security and performance cookies set by Cloudflare, our hosting and CDN provider, to keep the site secure and running smoothly.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics collects aggregate, cookieless traffic statistics (pages viewed, referral source, country, device type). It does not use cookies, does not store personal data, and does not track visitors across sites. No consent is required.
Analytics
- Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, referring source, approximate location, device and browser type) so we can improve it. It is configured through Google Consent Mode with all three advertising signals set to deny, permanently, so your visit is never used for advertising or ad personalisation. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it stores nothing until you accept. This data is processed by Google.
- Microsoft Clarity shows us how pages are actually used, through click and scroll heatmaps and a replay of your session on the site, so we can find and fix what is confusing. It follows the same choice as Google Analytics: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it does not load at all until you accept, and declining anywhere stops it recording. Text you type into forms is masked and is not captured. Clarity is integrated with our Google Analytics, so the two data sets can be viewed together. This data is processed by Microsoft, whose use of it is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page, which reopens the banner. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics on all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDPA 2023, you have rights to access, correct, request erasure of, and withdraw consent for processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
7. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were last made.
